On Sunday, February 1st, the Millerton Moviehouse will host SWSA Goes to the Movies, a double feature showing of the Izzy Cohan directed On the Hill, a short documentary that follows the evolution of three eastern jumpers as they transition from SWSA's 70-meter hill to Lake Placid's 90 meter hill.
Also showing will be Downhill Racer, the critically acclaimed 1969 sports drama starring Robert Redford and Gene Hackman.
The movies will be followed by a panel discussion of winter sports in Salisbury and SWSA's role in it.
The event starts at 1:00 pm.
There will be a raffle and SWSA merchandise for sale including limited edition copies of 100 Years of Ski Jumping: Salisbury Winter Sports Association by SWSA director/jumper/coach/author Ariel Picton Kobayashi to celebrate SWSA's centennial year . The coffee table pictorial follows the organization from the 1920s through the 2020s. The limited-edition book will also be available for sale for $25 during Jumpfest 2026.
